Our story
The journey of two brothers teaming up to build something meaningful.

Somewhere in the north of Sweden
The two Heikka brothers are born.
David Heikka 1997 👶
Felix Heikka 1999 👶

David goes into poker
After high school David becomes a professional poker player and moves to Asia.
5 years of adventure later, he moves back to Europe and co-founds a SaaS that reaches $30k MRR.

Felix goes into the army
After high school Felix joins the army and moves even further up north in Sweden.
He stays in the army for five and a half years and ends his journey as an NCO (non-commissioned officer).

Reunited in Budapest
David is learning to code and is building a new side project.
During one of our weekly calls we start painting this dream of running a business together.
One day, the timing is just right so we decide to go for it.
Felix leaves the army and books a one-way ticket to Budapest to join David and begin the journey as co-founders.
AIConvert
The side project David is building is an AI lead-gen form. The idea came from a problem he experienced in his SaaS.
While David is building, Felix is learning marketing.
We feel enthusiastic and confident about this project. Every business who has sales calls is going to use AIConvert!

This was harder than we thought...
We spend months building and marketing AIConvert. We try every different marketing method from paid ads to SEO to cold DMs.
Every single signup is celebrated because we barely get them at all. We set ambitious milestones but fail to reach every single one.
This was a lot harder than we expected, and Felix's runway is limited as he's living off savings.

TinderRoast
We start exploring new ideas while still marketing AIConvert.
Someone goes viral on X for an AI that roasts you based on your post history.
We get the idea to do the same but for your dating profile.
Let's save the cliffhanger... It didn't work out.

5 months in
The months are passing by and we're still working full-time on our projects, 6 days a week from morning until evening.
Every day we're working on improving the product and trying new marketing methods, but all we're met with is silence. No real results.

AI keeps forgetting context
David uses AI to help with development, and he's annoyed with having to explain our projects over and over to get relevant advice. What if AI had memory so this wasn't a thing?
This was the seed for our next project idea.
Memory didn't exist in LLMs back then. We started to discuss this idea together and the vision of an AI co-founder was formed.

Make something people actually want
By now we had learned that we should solve real problems. To find out if our idea solved a real problem we began by validating it.
So we shared a survey on Reddit and the response from our target audience was positive. Time to build the MVP.

We're onto something
We release the MVP and there's actually real interest for this product.
After two weeks we reach 100 users!

Listen to feedback, iterate
We received a lot of feedback from our users. So we listened and put our heads down to improve our solution.
We spend about 45 days on product improvements before being ready for the official launch.

7 months in, we get our first paying customers
We launch on Product Hunt and it goes better than we could have imagined. We end up featured at #4 with 500+ upvotes.
This brings 475 new users in 24h. Then we hit 1,000 users after 1 week.
We also get our first paying customers after 7 months of hard work.

How do we grow from here?
We've done the big launch now. Here comes the real work, the consistent, unglamorous kind of work.
We keep posting about our journey building aicofounder.com, share lessons, advice, wins, and fails.

90% of our focus is on product
Product has always been and will always be our main focus.
We keep talking to users, shipping new updates, and doing everything we can to build a great product.

20,000 founders
One year after launch, we hit 20,000 users. We went from celebrating every single signup to watching hundreds join every day.
This journey has changed our lives. Knowing that thousands of founders rely on aicofounder to guide them through building their products drives us to keep making it better every single day.

Preparing for the big leagues
For almost two years it's been just the two of us. That's about to change. In 2026 we're building a team so we can move faster and think bigger.
The foundation is set. Now it's time to scale up and turn aicofounder into the product we know it can be.
